Your continued financial support is needed to help create income generation programs in Sri Lanka for war widows to become independent and provide for their families. The civil war has left over 100,000 war widows and 1000’s of orphans and CORD Sri Lanka is actively working on value education programs for the orphans and income generation programs for the women.

Your dollars can go a long way. Here is how you can impact. It costs just

$100: to create one of the following core programs:

Core 1: Womens support group and empowerment programs

Core 2: Community based livelihood programs for generating employment

Core 3: Adult Literacy and Child education

$200: to create one of the following core programs:

Core 4: Child and Maternal health

Core 5: Treatment and community-based rehabilitation for persons with disabilities

$600: Adopt a village and provide critical core programs mentioned above for a small village

$1800: two critical core programs for one extreme zone (cluster of villages in one panchayat) where there is no drinking water and abject poverty

$3600: 3 critical core programs for one extreme zone where there is no drinking water, abject poverty and high suicide rates
